EnclosuresGlass-fibre Reinforced Polyester or GRP enclosures are light weight and robust. Their main characteristics are that they are UV resistant and extremely strong with an impact strength similar to that of metal enclosures. Vandal resistance and fire retardancy are both considerations which can be addressed at the design stage. Other advantages over traditional steel construction include radio transmissibility and condensation resistance. Furthermore, insulating foam can be built into fibreglass panels to improve thermal performance. GRP enclosures can be designed for transportation and easy assembly, using flat panel designs with integrated building and fastening systems.
