Fibreglass Shells for TrailersOne piece, two piece or a complex GRP assembly, Quantum have the skills and knowledge to make a concept into reality. The largest clamshell parts used for enclosed trailers are nearly 5 metres long and made in a single piece using a closed mould RTM process – believed to be the biggest RTM part in the UK. The advantages of using a closed mould process include part to part consistency, and a higher quality internal finish. |
Features such as hinged doors, catches, canopies, and light mounting points are all integrated into the design. A semi-transparent roof moulding allows light to flood in, even when the doors are closed. GRP is versatile for adding features, from fixing points to extra localised rigidity and all helps to give the professional quality finish needed, even if the eyes are more often focussed on the car interior. |
