Our factory operators are trained in house with an established program incorporating thorough testing. Ongoing training and assessment extends to the established staff too.
New recruits go through a core training programme which, as well as teaching them how to do the job, covers key aspects such as health and safety and the importance of quality.
The development continues beyond qualifying as a laminator, with cross-training for all staff in progressively complex parts. This cross skilling creates a flexible workforce which can react seamlessly to changing demands and products. |

Staff undergo regular training to ensure that they are trained in the most up to date techniques and materials to ensure the high standards of production are maintained.
This training also encompasses Health and Safety with ongoing refresher courses and toolbox talks to ensure everything is done correctly.
Quantum maintains the feel of a family business; it creates a culture where staff feel that they really are an important part of a company that cares. |
Recognising the importance of well-trained staff is only part of what we do.
Ensuring high quality materials are used together with approved process sheets for parts all the way through to PDI check sheets are part of a start to finish quality process to ensure the customer gets the part they need.
For all key materials, we have qualified multiple sources, allowing production continuity as well as ensuring that we can stay competitive. |

Today the company operates under ISO 9001.
This is more than a paper exercise as it drives our decisions, planning and day to day operation.
At Quantum, quality isn’t just a word that’s used at Audit times; for it to be successful, it has to be embedded within the company ethos.
Regular reviews are held covering everything from internal materials testing through to ensuring continual customer satisfaction. Where needed, additional elements are put in place, whether a change in the process or an extra care point for the pre-delivery inspection. |
As with all manufacturing processes, even with tight controls and plans, things don’t always go the way you planned. This is even more so where the parts are handmade, like with GRP.
Quantum have an open and collaborative culture and in the unlikely case that a part doesn’t meet the customers standards, we will work with you to get things right.
We measure customer non-conformances as part of our quality system and this is one of our company KPIs, so you can be sure it will be something that gets our attention. |
