Initially a therapy pod for creating safe spaces for challenging environments that evolved for other uses.

A complex multi-faceted pod made from bonded inner and outer “skins” with high fit tolerances.

The project involved creating a therapy pod intended for environments such as young offenders institutions, which then also evolved for other uses.

Encompassing precise patterns verified by 3D scanning for exacting tolerances, enabled high quality moulds to be made.

A substantial investment on the painting element ensured a high gloss finish on the moulds, while the pod's innovative construction featured an inner and outer skin bonded to achieve its distinctive shape.

The pod was modular in construction with consistent 4mm panel gaps achieved with out the box thinking for ease of assembly.

Safety was vital due to the environments they would be used, with the pods being made from class 2 fire retardant materials.

An electrical system designed was designed into the base encompassing both remote controlled lights and speakers.
