In-House FabricationThe engineers at Quantum respond quickly and effectively to manufacturing needs. They maintain production equipment, create trolleys and stillages and fabricate custom structures to support moulds during lamination. The quality of the part depends on the laminator being able to comfortably and safely reach every part of the mould, so we typically make custom frames. These allow the moulds to be rotated on the frame, improving working conditions for the laminator as well as providing easier access to all corners and edges of the mould. It’s a small thing that can make a big difference to quality. |

Secure SupportsBespoke jigs are also made on site, helping operators locate parts and sub-assemblies accurately, and ensuring repeatability during production. Jigs to hold the parts during robot trimming can be challenging to make but are critical to accuracy and consistency. Our engineers consider every angle, providing the team with stable jigs for even the most complex part geometries. |
Trolleys and StillagesOur engineers also make the associated production transport and storage trolleys/stillages, making sure that parts are safely managed within the factory and providing protection during delivery. Working with customers, we can develop specially-designed stackable stillages, enabling us to store a larger number of parts in the same footprint. This allows us to offer bigger production runs and more flexible post-production storage, as well as protecting parts during delivery. |
