Quantum Mouldings Limited can offer high tech CNC patternmaking and low tech traditional patternmaking. 

When the shape is complex and dimensional accuracy is paramount, we would recommend patterns are CNC machined from a CAD model.  Surface finish can then be applied in polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy depending on the customer’s requirements. 

Our traditional patterns are hand made by skilled craftsmen using MDF and other basic materials. This is often a more cost effective solution, particularly on larger patterns.  The patterns are finished in the same range of materials as CNC patterns to suit the customer’s need.  Also, we can manufacture temporary wooden tooling to produce prototype parts, sometimes with extremely short lead times.
